The Rampart will take place at 3:10 p.m. EST, following the $140,000 Via Borghese Stakes for fillies and mares on turf.
Saffie Joseph Jr.’s Star: Soul of an Angel
Soul of an Angel, trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., had a breakthrough year in 2024. She earned her trainer’s first Breeders’ Cup win with a stunning victory in the Filly & Mare Sprint last month at Del Mar. The 5-year-old mare has six career wins and over $1.19 million in earnings.
Joseph sees the Rampart as a stepping stone to the $20 million Saudi Cup in February. Soul of an Angel is in great form after recent workouts, and with jockey Drayden Van Dyke on board, she’s a strong contender to win.
Jorge Delgado’s Power Squeeze
